Today's Flowers . . .

. . . are the bouquets I got from my students! Flowers are super great gifts! They lift your spirits and they really make you smile. I got them because my students told me it was 'Teacher's Day' and they think I am their best teacher! Awwww! But I am not really a teacher. I mean, I do design and facilitate art workshops for kids and adults but that does not really make me a teacher. But I was so thrilled to received the flowers that I actually cried!

Somebody said "hey, Lui is crying!" and I responded: "they are happy tears!" . . . Yes, I cried because I have been praying and fasting for the bad weather to spare my country. We had Storm Ondoy (Ketsana) and Peping (Parma) passed by our country (but not Heaven) and this week, another super typhoon named Ramil, with an international name Lupit is coming. Lupit sound ominous. Lupit means cruel in Pilipino! I joined several babaylans (healers) around the world in prayer and asked for a sign. And St. Therese sent me the flowers! St. Therese is one of the saints who sends flowers as a sign that your prayers will be answered. In deep gratitude, I offered all the flowers in church as my thanksgiving. And yesterday, my psychic friend Tony told me by text from my mobile phone that he saw Lupit swerving and saving my country! So now you know why the flowers I received made me cry!
