It depends on what type of relationship I lost, but in general, the first few days are very difficult. This is when I would like to be treated normal, I want to grieve in my own world and be left alone to grief.
I use the freshness to force myself to find a way to deal with it, once I am happy with my decision, I am usually in better shape, but until I settle on a solution, I am not able to function well.
