I sat sipping my friend Joey's cappuccino over a sunny yet drizzling day talking about the things that are important for us. My friends Joey and Patrick are in town from London to have a week in a health farm, watch local films, check the Manila art scene and probably to bully me. These guys love to bully me to move out of Manila, accept some offers of residency in Europe, or accept a grant in filmmaking. . . stuff that I LOVE to do but can't. I mean who would not want to do any of those things right? But I know what's important for me now. And I know the things I wanted to do and those that I can do now without sacrificing the important part of me. . .

Yes, my dog Sweepy is one. I have to assure him that I will never ever abandon my dogs. So many animals were being abandoned by owners and news like these always affect my dogs. We have a huge network of animal friends around the world so it is a constant concern for us. So when Joey asked me what are the important things I will take with me when it gets flooded in our house Heaven, I did not say my backpack. You see, I stored important documents like passports, IDs, data disks, etc. in a backpack for emergency. Yet, in an emergency situation, I will choose my dogs over my backpack! I was not joking either when I hurriedly finished my coffee so I can scan the mall for a life vests for me and my dogs! There were none. . . . At the height of the storm, I also talked to our plants, our trees Yvon and Chicky, Troy our lizards (there are so many of them I call them all Troy), Spiderpie, MrLeach, etc. to remind them of the coming storm. When I prayed facing the skies I felt everybody's energy linking with mine, connecting to the Source, commanding all our power to command the raging skies to be still. All of them are important to me NOW as I am sure I am important to them as well . . .

Have you ever asked yourself what is important to you now?

So much I love your point of the view! You're right, if you have to leave, you must take with you the dear dog! I could never leave my cat ever! Then it's worst to take the plants with you..? I hope the storm will calm and that you all will live in harmony. Take care! And I love the photo of you and your lovely dog! :)

Oh, thank you Viola! You are a kindred spirit. Of course, I will always take my dogs with me. People go far and wide looking for happiness and mine is always with me, watching me with bright eyes filled with love. So, who cares about taking further studies? Haha!
