Meet Missy Crickett. . .

Ms. Crickett is an insomniac. She sings all night in Heaven. So by daybreak, she goes pfffft! As if her batteries ran out. She goes still as if she is comatose! I softly whispered her name. Soon, she glides by Heaven's plants. . .

Flying and buzzing (albeit less noisy now) as if she is looking for something. Then, she stops for a still shot for my visitors . . .
. . . Haha, that's you, people!!! Missy Crickett is smiling for you!!! Isn't she gorgeous?!! Then, as if she was nudged by memory, MsC went about buzzing and flying around, setting aside her vanity for a second. Sniffing the myriad surfaces, not the smell and color mind you, but surfaces! Then she stops for a second . . .
Hmmm, not exactly the spot she wanted. Ms C shook her wings and hurriedly flits (and flirts her way too) from one place to another. I offered a used box in my recycle bin . . .

. . . but nope. Not her kind of place. I was willing to create a house for her (an installation art no less!) but no, thanks. Ms C is pretty finicky. Well, if your job takes you working all night you would feel the same way! Now wait!
AHA!
Finally, a perfect spot to rest poor Ms. Crickett!

Do you hear somebody snoring?

See also my dog Sweepy's post. MrWormsy is a guest there!

I love the story line. And cool photos also.

I have never seen a cricket like this one. How very kind of you to make a house for it.

I don't know about heaven, but they had them all over Crete. I could hear them...

You've given her a lovely home and these photos of her were great.
