I Grow Them In My Hands . . .

One of my favorite local flowers Santan is forever blooming around my country. They do not require much except sunshine (loads of it here) and survive even with less watering! I am just so glad that we are having rains and that the weather is cooler. But this weekend, a storm is coming so I need to gather everyone in Heaven to prepare again while beautiful flowers like this Santan has to be held with love and caution not to throw much to the wind! ;-) My flowers for MacroFlowerPhotography on Saturday and TodaysFlowers on Sunday. A year ago we had storm Ondoy unleashed rains that flooded all of Manila except Heaven! Please pray that the coming storm Henry would not damage as much and instead fill our thirsty dams . . .

These are lovely bushes and those bright red flowers pretty indeed.
I like flowers that don't need much care but I don't remember seeing these beauties by us.

My thoughts are with you, I hope storm Henry will not hurt anyone.

Lovely flowers the last of the year and this summer! I hope you'll not have the storm, it's not good. I hope your Heaven will be saved, in peace! Greetings from Viola :)

Lovely flowers. I like the progression of shots from bud to bloom. When I first read your headline I wondered what I would see. Good job.

Beautiful bright red flowers! You are fortunate to have such a temperate climate that flowers floom all year round!

Beautiful! I remember plucking the Ixora as a child just to suck it's sweet nectar. Did you do that too?

I've been here before, and today again. Your Santan (Ixora sp) looks so healthy after thorough drenching. BTW, where is Heaven exactly here in MM? We occupy the same patch on earth, am in QC.
