I am featuring my SuperDog Sweepy again because yesterday was Animal Day and Sweepy went off to church to be blessed and get his free anti-rabies shots! Why in church? I think it was because yesterday was the feast of St. Francis who was known to love animals. So every year, on St. Francis feast day, Pet Guardians (the new term to refer to people who has adopted an animal into their homes) bring their beloved pets to church to be blessed! And every year, our Mayor and Village chief would provide free anti-rabies shots to dogs and cats in the community. We supported and promoted this advocacy and my dog Sweepy even went to see the Mayor and local authorities to push for the implementation of two laws on animal care and protection including the provision of anti-rabies shots as mandated by law. So yesterday, one of the community pillars, Councilor Raffy Campos, decided to hold the event in one day, in the church which his family helped built for the community! The Campos family developed our subdivision from a low cost housing project into a modern model community with wider roads, easy access to transportation and with modern communication and recreation facilities which jacked up the real estate value of the place! Below is my sister Luchie with Sweepy near the church entrance. Sweepy is wearing his RED harness and the RED flowers in photo above are for all animal lovers around the world. May you be blessed with patience, kindness, and means (especially financial!) to adopt or keep an animal as part of your family! My RED entry for Mary's Ruby Tuesday!

I bet Sweepy knows just how lucky he is to have a loving companion in you!
Cute shot!
What a large bloom in contrast to the size of his paws.
Lol. Great capture.
What a sweet photo! Perfect for RT. We take my mother's dog to be blessed too!
What an exciting day for Sweepy, going to church, blessed and loved by so many.
Great shot - so many here took part in Animal Day!
What a cute shot of prayerful Sweepy with the red flower. That church door next to your sister is pretty special too!
[I can't imagine anyone these days choosing to have seven children... but yes, red in China is a color of auspiciousness and it is used for EVERYTHING, including the national flag. I'll be posting lots more reds from China. :-)]
What cuteness!
