Texture
These are some of the gold elements I use to "dress up" Heaven in preparation for the Chinese New Year this coming week. As you can see we celebrate several "new year" events and each of these occasions are special based on the culture and traditions that inspired it. From the gold side curtains paired with the whimsy and pretty hand-sewn golden flower details to the dining table spread with hand-sewn designs (notice the subtle golden threads!) and my old gold filigree box filled with gold wooden bars to absorb smoke.

Fog
This is the early morning haze that wafts through the backyard enveloping our tree Chicky!

. . . is actually my blue name plate pinned to the shirt made for an art workshop where I facilitated the acrylic painting for adults!Drink/Beverage
. . . is my favorite morning treat once a week called "taho" (hot soya drink drizzled with caramel sauce and filled with "sago" balls) delivered by an ambulant vendor in our subdivision. It is yummy but is too sweet and not exactly advisable for diabetics which run in our family!Seventies
Our old phonograph that is still working and still part (though hardly used) of our audio system! Remember those LPs (long-playing albums! Ha!) and we have a few old jazz records left and which this challenge prompted me to revisit the 'noisy' but still enjoyable sounds from the past! A real gem!And here is my button pin interpretation made especially for Amy's Color Splash Sunday:

Awesome post with many wonderful photos to see.
Lindas fotos! Eu também ainda tenho um vitrola que funciona e alguns discos de vinil. Gostei muito da foto do céu com núvens!
I love the drink and the mosiac image. The textures and colors are so soft and romantic. The drink is easy to make? Wish I could have one now...
