The Creative Exchange

Guess what this is.
I featured it in my last post for the 'what is it' prompt.
It just grew out of our compost pit.
Our compost pit is where we throw kitchen waste like vegetable and fruit peelings. We cover it with soil and water and add recycle waste again and repeat the cycle until the whole thing gets mixed well and recycle itself into a healthy mix perfect for our garden soil!
But when this amazing thing came along I was both happy and confused. But the compost is still underway! How can anything grow there?!!
This thing will someday present us with our favorite squash!
Ha! What a pleasant surprise!
And nobody planted it there.
Or maybe the squash seed thrown in decided to grow!
Now will somebody tell MrFly that the squash is not ready for harvest yet!

Lui,

First, and foremost, I am glad you are okay, and I am sorry for those who are not.

These are absolutely amazing macros, and I think some of your very best. The detail you have captured is amazing.

Thank you so much for sharing this week at The Creative Exchange.

I wish you a beautiful holiday.

I love it when a plant decides on its own where to grow! Lovely, green tendrils in these photos, Lui.

Maybe the birds added it to your compost pile. We get stray veggies growing in ours too. We call them volunteers!

Lui, this is such a beautiful series of shots, and it looks like this plant must be very happy in your compost pile. Hope you have a wonderful new year!
