Lantana

I always love this small bright flower!
It is as small as my little finger!
And it has small folded-like ribbons
that uncurl and reveal more dainty petals!
And together they look like small bouquets . . .
. . . lining down the road!
It comes in a variety of colors too!
And the pinkish ones really stand out!
. . . just like most special people who walk the earth . . .
. . . like my brother Joey who is celebrating his birthday this Sunday!

Happy Birthday, Joey! We miss you a lot!
And we wish you good health, stable work and family life
and we hope you get the loving support and rapport
that you know you will always find at home!

Lantana does have a beautiful flower, although it's classed as a noxious weed where I live and one of Australia's most debilitating invasive weeds. I doubt you would be able to buy one anywhere here.

I love the bright colors of the Lantana. I used to grow it when I lived in California, but don't see it much in Ohio. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my post about The Nutcracker. I just went in to edit it because I forgot to add that all the photos were from Wikipedia Images! We weren't allowed to take photos during the performance either. It's such a beautiful ballet!

Happy birthday to your brother!

Your lantanas are lovely. I'm amazed how different colors are combined in one flower of this plant.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Lovely! Think I'll get a pot of the multi-coloured one next year when the monsoon season is over.

Even if lantana smells so bad for us, the butterflies don't agree. And even with that odor, they are always so beautiful.

Come to think of it, Andrea, I am not bothered by its smell at all!

But here's a lil story: somebody with cancer emits a very offensive smell that people, who are not aware of it, tried to stay away from her and even badmouth it to other people. However, this sick person, refused to be bothered by it. Because that person with cancer is bothered by a more obnoxious smell: the smell of deceit, prejudice, fear and hate. Surprisingly, these fear emit a stronger scent to her! In her unusual situation, it is her understanding that made her sickness pain-free and probably what saved her life! I know that person because she is still alive to this day!
