Hoya In Monochrome

Behind the Scene:
I was not really shooting the Hoya
but I was hiding from Sweepy
(my dog always follow me around every time I am with a camera!)
and I was hiding behind the Hoya plant
hoping Sweepy would not see me:
Nobody can hide from a dog
because his strong sense of smell
can sniff you out before he can spot you!

wonderful photo - love the B&W. This bloom reminds me of the a Clerodendrum.

These flowers are beautiful in all versions, even in B/W.
Yes you will lose the game when playing hide-and-seek with a dog.

Nice macros, Lui. Did you jump out in front of your dog and startle him? Much fun in your telling - makes me laugh and smile.

Not until lately have I thought of shooting flowers in black and white. Your captures are stunning today. So light and graceful looking. Am wondering what their aroma holds for your enjoyment. Lovely series. genie

I love the patterns of the closed buds in your first photo, and the way they shine against the dark background.
