We moved the dying Desert Rose plant from the northeast to the southwest side of our house Heaven and it resurrected itself by opening up with a dozen buds!
Its coiled petal is like a suspenseful saga about to begin . . .
Ahhh, what bright neon pink on a hot day!
I can, of course, tone down the brightness
and adjust the blinding colors . . .
But why would I do that?
Ms. Desert Rose has to bloom in all her shocking glory!
And allowed to sing in all her divanesque style.
We had 36 degrees HOT days all week!
I can only order rain once
but I can water my part of the earth
as many times as I want . . .
