Today's Flowers

I found these cute pink flowers inside our homeowners' multi-purpose center when I brought my dogs for their annual anti-rabies shots. Since I have three dogs, we usually have the vet visit us in our house Heaven so my dogs can be checked and get their shots. But in 2007, my dog Sweepy helped bring the attention of animal care and protection to our community leaders and since last year, our town Mayor started giving free anti-rabies shots for dogs in our community. That was an awesome savings for us! So, in turn, I bought snacks for the volunteer doctors and staff who manned the program all morning. More than a hundred dogs were given anti-rabies shots! There is still a long way for an ideal program for animal welfare in my community. I still see roaming dogs and cruel owners and I get into an ugly situation when I confront them. But I like to be optimistic about it. Someday, my brave efforts will bear happy flowers like what my flower dog Bogart wanted, the way these flowers made me feel, even on a rainy day . . . More happy flowers at Today's Flowers.

A sweet little flower you found!
And what a great story you are telling us about. I have a little dog myself, from a shelter. So I know what you are talking about. What a great idea to give them free ant-rabies shot!

Like you, I love dogs in fact I have 2 dogs one is adopted, 2 cats. Well it's good to hear that your city Mayor is conducting free rabies shots, some dog owners doesn't aren't much aware about the proper handling of dogs, they taught dogs are only meant to be house watch. I still see dogs chained on house gates so the owners may know if there someone at the door, isn't that rude?

Such an encouraging post about 'giving' and who better to receive than our four legged friends. I enjoyed the photo of the happy flowers too!
Happy Monday to you in Heaven.
