The Tale of a Round Beauty . . .

I used to call this gorgeous plant Adi
And the picture above was Adi last July.
After a month, Adi started to bloom!
In three days Adi started to display her flowers!

And for the next ten days, these little flowers will fall and the small center part starts to grow bigger. From the picture below you can see the scale and size of this flower as I nurtured it in my palms:
From those tiny buds (#7) will burst forth this green beauty:

And in 3 days, this will become yellow and open up magically to greet you every morning for a week!

Our lovely, gorgeous Adi who is referred to as Hoya plant, grows and blooms all year-round in our house Heaven! Its wonderful presence remind me of the beauty of nature and its resilience to all the elements (hot and rainy weather, ants, birds, butterflies, etc.) and its capacity to continue blooming even with just water and love (we do not have chemical fertilizers in Heaven). My micro flower contribution to Maia's MacroFlowerPhotography every Saturday and for Sunday's TodaysFlowers hosted by Luiz, Denise, Laerte and Pupo!

This is a very interesting plant indeed. Such a beautifully formed flower ball, growing from that stick (or tale).
Your photos are great as they follow the birth and evolution of this little flower.
Have a beautiful weekend Lui!

Interesting series of shots, a perfect floral ball, made by nature.

Adi has a spectacular blossom! I've heard they don't bloom very often so you must be doing something right...something it likes. :)

That really is very lovely.

I've not come across this flower before and appreciate the way you've shown its development.

Oh, My! That is so beautiful! I have never seen a yellow yoya, only the pink ones! Does this have that same intoxicating aroma?

Sorry Judy but our Hoyas have no scent!

And thank you all for your wonderful comments. I really try to document our plants from bud to bloom to help my kid friends and to educate myself too! I grew up in the city and all these plants are a mystery and joy to me!
