When the Leaves leave . . .

I hold you
not just to protect you
and not just to heal you
or even to keep you hostage
in my hands . . .
When I crush you in my hands
it is not so much to destroy you . . .
. . . but to preserve every bits of you
and contain every broken layers
that must be made whole again . . .
. . . and set free!

The dead brown leaves in our house Heaven are returned back to the earth, where they mingle with the soil, where they will nourish, give life, help sustain all that needs to have new plants, new leaves, new buds, new flowers, new fruits, more birds to nestle and feed, to breathe in our carbon dioxide and expel oxygen for everybody to live, to shelter beings from the heat of the sun and the drizzle of rain, to rest tired beings and hug passing keepers and playful dogs . . . where the chain surrounds all those who breathe and fade and made whole again! You must remember the cycle and celebrate it! Constantly . . .

For Mary's Sepia Scenes.

Oh yes, crush the dead leaves but remember to bring them back to earth where they will help the soil nourish the seeds to help bring new plants and new leaves to hold and behold!

You are all blessed, my earth friends!
