Another Orchid in Heaven . . .

. . . it's very clear our love is here to stay . . .

. . . not for a year but forever and a day . . .

. . . the radio and the telephone and the movies that we know, may just be passing fancies and in time may go . . .

. . . but oh, my dear, our love is here to stay, together we're going a long, long way . . .

. . . in time the Rockies may tumble, Gibralter may crumble, they're only made of clay, but our love is here to stay!

- George Gershwin

This is one of our orchids in Heaven. I kindda miss it for sometime and actually caressed it and requested it to bloom again and she did! It took only two weeks for the shoot to come out (October 12) and for all the flowers to open up (October 22) and until now, as I write, it is still there singing merrily with me on an old song by Gershwin above.

This is my flower contribution for Maia's MacroFlowerSaturday and TodaysFlowers by Luiz Santilli, Denise, Pupo Laerte, and Sandy Carlson. Do visit them and have a gorgeous visual delight of a weekend!

How beautiful your orchids are, Lui. I envy you for them. This one opened its flowers in two weeks? Amazing.
I have a dendrobium in buds for more than a month and it is just now that the flowers start to open.
I'm growing a few orchids indoors but they are just surviving.

Thanks for sharing these beauties on Macro Flowers Saturday!

One of my favorite flowers, so hard to keep them alive by us.
Your orchids instead are gorgeous, Gershwin is a great stimulant. Lovely shots and music.

The Chinese lantern you've asked about grows wild in temperate regions.
I don't know if it survives in your climate but if you really want to try, I could send you a few seeds.

Hello Lui, and thanks for visiting! I planned visiting last time you commented on my blog - but then I forgot it. Sorry about that!

My little Asterix died suddenly in May. He suddenly got trubble with his kidneys, and a got a stroke as a complication. He died in my arms within 24 hours. I still miss him. But thanks for asking. :)
