Brooke is Singing Again!

There she goes . . .

Singing and attracting everyone
including the ants!
(That's my other hand hugging our Hoya plant Adi!)

She does not waste time in showing off.
She uncurls her little buds in a day . . .

But two to three buds at a time . . .

. . . and sings like a diva
on a hot day!

Oh, but I love Brooke!
And oh, how I love to see her
again and again . . .

Brooke is the name I call this gorgeous orchid in Heaven. It blooms regularly and it grows to about three feet long, falling almost to the plant below it which is why I named it Brooke (like falling water) and inspired by our friend and webmistress Brooke Lee of DogsWithBlogs (where my dogs are members for years!) and who is also the patient and loving guardian of our friend Opy, a senior dog like my dogs Sweepy and Sumo! If you are a regular reader of my blog you would know that I am pretty clueless with actual names of plants, flowers and critters that I find in our little house called Heaven which is why I name them differently! This orchid Brooke grows without chemical fertilizers and loves the morning sun. My sister Luchie (the real gardener) clumps several of the orchids in one pot and hangs them with coconut husks or strapped to one of Yvon's (our avocado tree!) trimmed branch. Which is why they sometimes bloom and flower simultaneously in one pot!

This is my flower contribution to Maia's MacroFlowerSaturday and for Sunday's TodaysFlowers of Santilli, Denise, Pupo and Sandy! Have a beautiful, pain-free (for all our sick friends especially those battling with cancer! We're praying for you!), stress-free, naturally scented, and love-full weekend!

lovely orchids, these days, I just go to places where there are flowers. Too lazy to grow plants

I wish I could grow orchids, but my thumb is more black than green, so I content myself with admiring from afar. Beautiful shots!

This is a lovely orchid. It is the greatest satisfaction to see them blooming all the time. You are so lucky to live in the perfect climate for them.
I have so many problems with my orchids.

Beautiful weekend to you too.

I love the colours of these tiny flowers! I am so glad you have included your hand, so we can see just how small they are!
