A Web of Life . . .

In the belly of Heaven's womb, lies another keeper. Her name is Spiderpie. She holds forth in the middle of that silken gorgeous labyrinth which she weaves like magic around her. . .

She spins a complicated tangle of lines that form an opening that opens and closes only upon her bidding. The lines are, at the same time, a whirling mass of a trap, that was meant to confuse anybody who is not wanted in Spiderpie's gorgeous home.

Nobody messes around with Spiderpie. Even in her small frame which is as thin as a human's hair and as small as a human's mole, Spiderpie holds forth watching her cocoon grow every week!

. . . and they multiply like hanging balls which Spiderpie has to watch.

. . . which must have made Spiderpie sleepless all week and all month! I must keep watch over these round treasures, she tells herself. That's it, mumbles Spiderpie. No gimmick nights. No spa moments. No gourmet tasting anywhere. No shopping for gorgeous silk mitts or listening to the opera or even some jazz music. Spiderpie consoles herself with just listening to the soothing music that the human keeper of Heaven would provide from time to time. That will do for now.

Spiderpie's ward can grow too many that they can not fit in what little space that Spiderpie has provided for their shelter! So the cocoon has to make do with the cramp space by folding itself on top of Spiderspie!

Oh-oh, and here comes Trouble:

Trouble is the name of this clueless being who wanders into anything and anywhere that catches his fancy. Trouble saw the cocoon and wondered if they are edible for him and if they were, if he can bring home some to his wifey and wobeys. Trouble did not see that there is a strict watcher and keeper of the cocoon!

Spiderpie spied Trouble a good hundred centimeters away and before she can do a mean Tai Chi pose that can startle anything passing by, Trouble walked out relieved to be free of that tangled mess! Trouble hates complication and getting lost is pretty complicated. He figures he can get action and goodies somewhere else . . . so off went Trouble. And Spiderpie in complete act of self-defense started to weave more lines and traps that filled all of Heaven!

And with that, I end Samhain looking at the tangle of webs around Heaven and wondering if I should get rid of them and how since they are useful as traps for flies and mosquitoes, and not to mention that I didn't have to buy fake webs for Halloween. Mine was so real! But tomorrow, the webs got to go. And Spiderpie has to be content in her small web around my recyclable twigs! As for Lisa, she gets her Monday tale for her MacroMonday! As for me, I'm off with my broom and my witchy laugh to sweep . . .

Fabulous photos and lovely writing! and yes it is called 'love-in-a-mist'... in the spring and summer it has delicate sky-blue flowers and it's green thread-like leaves lend an ethereal appearance.
