Pink Macro!

I finally met a beautiful pink Gumamela (Hibiscus) outside of Heaven. It was gorgeous and its yellow shoot in the middle looked so delicate and seemed plastered in its pink petals that I reached out to hold it up in vain! It was so delicate that when I held it in my hands it spread itself majestically like a prized catch in my palm. And when I looked around me I saw lots of gorgeous flowers all waiting for my touch! I laughed like a complete idiot under the hot morning sun. This simple joy is my world. And it is way too much for my clueless self to grasp.

My pink Hibiscus for Maia's MacroFlowersSaturday and for TodaysFlowers hosted by Santilli, Denise, Pupo and Sandy Carlson. I am also joining Pink Saturday for the first time.

Updated! Oopsy. I am supposed to include my favorite holiday movie for Pink Saturday. And the only movie I can think of right now which I can enjoy and watch with my hounds is this:

Oh, bring out 'em tissue and let's have a good bawling time, Sweepy!

This is a gorgeous pink hibiscus but the way you master the words make me believe that it's a jewel.
I tell you a secret: flowers don't like to be touched, you steal their energy by touching them.
Beautiful post Lui.

Beautiful! I've seen a bright pink hibiscus in Malaysia recently, never see that shade here in Singapore, mostly just pale pink similar to yours.

Hibiscus are lovely flowers. I prefer vibrant red ones.

This is glorious. I can see each detailed fold in the petals and what a beautiful striking color. Amazing shot.

What a beautiful hibiscus! I was able to enjoy them during the time I lived in a tropical area, but they aren't too common around this part of the United States.

Gorgeous flowers Lui!! :) I can understand you had to laugh and be happy when you saw those lovely flowers! So it's hot at your place now?!! =) Tell me if it's getting too hot, and I'll send you some cold winds from north and a little snow (only if you want of course)-haha! But it's not all that bad cold right now.. only minus 6,6 Celciusgrades! Rather hot you see ;)

Have a nice day! :)

For some reason I can't put my finger on, Lui, I've really been enjoying the gumamela this year... lots of pretty ones around, and yours is no exception. Pretty white-pink!
