Across Heaven A Beauty Awakens . . .

Part of my daily dog-feeding routine is to step outside of Heaven and cross to our neighbor's house and feed their dog we fondly call Dawgy. Part of my chat box routine are people asking "is Dawgy OK?" and my routine answer is "surviving" . . . So why am I feeding Dawgy when she obviously belong to somebody? Well, for a lot of reasons: she looks like she is not fed well, she gets abandoned most of the day (this week her owner left her for two days!), and she cries out to us! Sigh.

Yesterday, before her owner arrived (from who knows where!) I crossed over to Dawgy to feed her for the day when their equally neglected plants greeted me with small, beautiful lilac-blue flowers! Oh, what beauties! That scene totally changed my grumbling mood. I was suddenly ecstatic! I felt giddy and sang to the flowers and Dawgy. Suddenly, it does not matter if Dawgy's owner is negligent. We will feed Dawgy forever and she will always be part of Heaven.

Suddenly, the sunny-cloudy world is bright and forgiving. Suddenly, I realized that Dawgy is a microcosm of what society has become and the symbol for the forgotten and negligent ones. The ones who belong to households but hardly feel part of it. Suddenly, I am a hero for the day for Dawgy. And possibly for her tomorrows.

Suddenly, I met these flowers. And they met a new me.

Dawgy's flower gifts and story are my contribution for Maia Macro Flowers and for the Todays Flowers team of Luiz, Denise, Laerte and Sandy! I am sorry but I do not know the name of this flower. And Dawgy does not know either. ;-) At times like this, names are not important anyway . . .

this was beautiful, so are you!
I wish you could just adopt "Dawgy" to get him away from those bad people.

These beautiful purple flowers balanced a bit your sad story about Dawgy, both in this post and in real life.
I use to feed homeless dogs but at least, those are free to look for food.
Lovely flower shots!

These flowers are lovely. You know the name?
Know how you feel Lui. My neighbourhood cats have lousy owners and can leave their pets for a week while they go on holidays.

Lovely flowers. I like the color of the foliage too.

Dawgy is lucky to have a neighbor like you. the owners don't deserve to have a dog or any pet. i can't even leave Fritz home alone for an hour. recently, i even brought him to a wake because there was nobody home to be with him.

these are lovely blooms. it's great that flowers, unlike dogs and other pets, bloom even when left alone.

Oh Lui, Dawgy will never be forgotten as long as her earth angel (you) is taking care of her. I'm happy for Dawgy that she has you to show her so much love. Have a great week my friend and thank you for sharing these lovely photographs.

Poor Dawgy, at least he can look to you for food. No creature should have such terrible owners.

The little blooms are beautiful.
