In The Midst of Crisis . . .

listen as your day unfolds
challenge what the future holds
try and keep your head up to the sky
lovers, they may cause you tears
go ahead release your fears
stand up and be counted don't be ashamed to cry . . .

herald what your mother said
readin' the books your father read
try to solve the puzzles in your own sweet time
some may have more cash than you
others take a different view . . .
my, oh my, hey, hey, hey . . .

don't ask no questions
it goes on without you
leaving you behind if you can't stand the pace
the world keeps on spinning
you can't stop it, if you try
this time it's danger staring you
in the face . . .

you gotta be bad, you gotta be bold
you gotta be wiser, you gotta be hard
you gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger
you gotta be cool, you gotta be calm
you gotta stay together
all i know, love will save the day . . .

Remember this old 90s song by Des'ree Weeks? It was my favorite in the 90s as I went from President Cory to Ramos to Estrada . . . the gulf wars, the EDSA uprising over and over, soaring prices, corruption, accidents, nature's wrath . . . the same cycle going on ten years after! I remembered this when my teen friend Kitty asked me for my favorite song at the time she was born and this song is it. Then and now I guess it remains relevant and the tune is pretty catchy enough to go in Kitty's playlist! ;-)

My monochrome marble for Dragonstar's
Black and White Weekend
(I made one in the previous post but I forgot that this meme has to be separate)

Oh- I like this photo much! A very special one, with the song along.. I cannot remember a group name by Des'ree Weeks.. but now I'm bad in remembering names, by the way.. ;)

Checkmate..! With your intelligent words.. Me like! :)
And so true what you're saying there..

Lovely pearls on that ballet slipper!

I like the shot and the song lyrics go well with it.

A very poetic image. I love the way your(?) fingers are silhouetted against the sky.

Such a great photo you have taken.
Thank you for your comments on my blog.
The photo from Norrköping is from some day ago. It's now university in most of the old industrial houses.

I like the way the light shows the patterns in the marble. Light, pattern and reflection are all there.

It's a pity that I don't know the song. Your marble looks awesome :)
