Thursday Questions

I wear flip-flops on my ears too! Ha! Oh I know they are too small to get easily lost. But they are way too cute and quite a steal for its price that I am adding it to my collection. If I lose one of the pair I can recycle the remaining clip as accent or part of a mixed media work. Oh I can think of a hundred uses for these pairs aside from wearing them on my ears! That is, if they don't get "hijacked" or "kidnapped" first by somebody drooling at my ears!

Do you have whimsical buys like these?
What is your guide in buying stuff you like but don't really need?

And my own As:

I buy 'investment' pieces (nothing expensive) but one that I like and can use and reuse a hundred ways! People also ask me to buy stuff for them so I think I should add 'merchandiser' as an added job. ;-)

oh yes, i'm a sucker for burloloys. i have boxes full of fashion acessories made of shell, wood, seeds, etc.

i\m an impulse buyer then i give them all away. but i'm getting better at controlling the impulse to buy things that i don't need.:p

They are so cute! Used to buy such stuff when very much younger but not now.

I have a few of those kinds of pieces, but I try to buy pieces that will serve me a long time and i won't get bored off.

I would like to have something like this. I don't have many jewelries right now due to a burglary.
It has to be something I will use everyday.
Will be back thanks for joining this week, even though you were busy. Will check out your other blogs, where are the links?

I always try to buy pieces that will not go out of style and can be worn for years. But sometimes I find something like your earrings that are so cute I can't resist them.

Those are interesting.

I don't buy things for myself anymore. These days (since I got married) the focus is on bills and getting food on the table.

So no whimsical buys for me, which means I don't buy things I don't really really need.

Aloha! :)

1) I do buy whimsical items just because I like them.

2) I take a lot of time weighting in the need to have them, and my financial pocket..

I do buy things on a striking mood especially when I see them as whimsical.

I don't carry credit cards, so the cash flow dictate my impulse.
