Hot Hibiscus on a Hot Day

. . . i woke up to the kiss of the sun . . .

. . . and opened up to the caress of the slight breeze.

and there i was
and there she was
finding our connection.

. . . there must be a common pact between us.

. . . for in that understanding must i bloom
as she must too.

. . . and at sunset
as i breathe and dry up
she remained lovingly waiting
holding me like a sacred vow . . .

Encounter with a hibiscus (gumamela) along a familiar path during a busy week. So yes, I still stop for nature's many exciting wonders and beauty. And yes, I am desperately trying to upload and update my stories and pictures in between work and the excruciating heat!

I share this vivid pink Hibiscus with my friends Maia, Beverly and the TodaysFlower team Santilli, Denise, Pupo and Sandy:

Lui, thank you for your kind words! It's nice to know i'm not the only one who has an "abundance" of dogs. I can't help it, they make me melt. Lovely photos. Happy PS!

I love your beautiful flowers and the lovely words in between the photos.

You know, I've never stopped to admire a wildflower before I bought my camera.

Sorry about the heat, hang in there!

Very beautiful hibiscus! I like the flower very much. A hibiscus would have double calyxs. One supports the petals of the flower. Another would be independent. It is very rare,so I like them.
