Remember Her?

I posted about this beautiful dainty pineapple-looking flower from the cactus plant in my previous post. A few days after this photo was taken, it looked like this:
Small lilac shoots came out and slowly unfurled its beautiful small lavender petals! It is so delightful to watch this small beauty that only bloom once a year . . .
We had two storms pass by our place and I am so glad no damage was done after all the renovation work (which is more like repair and maintenance work) being done to our place called Heaven. My dogs were pretty stressed out but I managed to give them their delayed weekly bath last Thursday. They both have 'hot spots', small wounds on their paws, which is making me grumpy. Wounds make me grumpy because they create troublesome scenarios in my worrisome brain. Sumo licked the wound (animals lick wounds to heal, release stress, or to relieve the pain/itch) but Sumo licked it too much which widened the wound. Luchie and I had to supervise medications and I worriedly called for a vet to schedule a house call. . .

Other than that, the weather goes sunny one hour, rainy and windy the next, while all of Heaven sings and blooms. With work piling like mad, I should take inspiration from the blooming plants and how they easily adapt to the changing climes . . .

For Maia, Beverly, and Denise and the TodaysFlowers team who never fail to inspire me. Have a great weekend everyone!

Oh your poor sweet little dogs. I hope their paws heal fast. Thanks for stopping and letting me know your TF flowers were posted. It's lovely to see how this pretty plant has developed since your last post. That touch of lavender is a delight. I will link you with Today's Flowers as soon as it is up. Have a great weekend my friend.

Thank you for an informative post. The flower is unique and your black dog looks very much like my older dog, a female, now 14.
