Orchids Are Blooming Again!

I took this shot on July 8 and after a week the bud opens up:

. . . and in another week:

. . . and another week:

These gorgeous and perfumed orchids are blooming wildly on two hanging plants since July. I love documenting growth by taking sequence shots as they unfold. The little buds started appearing at the start of the renovation work in our house since June as the weather turns from sunny hot to rainy to stormy and now back to sunny-rainy weather. In the Philippines we are now in the rainy month where storms visit us around 10 to 20 times a year! And the months from June (the start of the school year!) to August are the wet months and the storms come until December. Note: our summer is from March to May.

Can you see another orchid blooming in the other pot?

Our plants sing for us. These days they sing differently as if the notes are arranged on a different scale. My dogs are pretty alarmed and yet, like the plants, the dogs and other critters moving and living along the grounds and walls of our little house called Heaven, it is a sign of changes taking place. And, like people, they all seek the assurance that whatever happen, things will be alright. I have an Alpha dog (Sumo, the father of Sweepy) but when things seem not right I stand as the leader of the pack. And I take lead and assure everybeing that in the midst of changes I will try to make sure that everyone stay safe and loved.
And that is what happened to this orchid which turned yellow in June. Plants react differently to changes and I have to sing and assure it that with all the goings on around Heaven it will be safe. And indeed come July it bloomed as it does every year . . .
It is not easy being an Alpha. At the end of the day, as my pack peacefully retires for the night assured of my control, I closed my eyes in prayer and surrender to the Supreme Alpha who assures me as well . . . .

For Maia and her macro plants, Beverly and her pinks, and the TodaysFlower team of Luiz, Laerte, Sandy and most especially for Denise. And I am adding also for Amy and her manipulated color/monochromes. And for all who take control and take lead of plants, animals, memes and other people's lives and stories, you are blessed! And in your hands and heart lies the gentle grip and power to love, assure and heal!

Hello Lui.

Thank you so much for your kind comments and vote of confidence! I am excited to try to make this twirl skirt.

Your orchids are absolutely beautiful. You're a wonderful caretaker! My garden did pitifully this summer with the drought we are experiencing here in Kansas. My sunflowers, on the other hand, are loving it!

Thanks so much for dropping by! Happy Pink Saturday.

Great to see the series of your beautiful orchid. Wish I could make mine bloom! It did once, I cut it to the bottom as I was told, and wala! No more! Sweet words, too, Lui!
