The Creative Exchange

The Hoya hosting MrSpidey during the storms. . .

The Mandevilla fading but new buds are sprouting . . .

The changing and the constants in my Heaven signify the passing of time. Some have changed. Others are renewing. Some are adapting beautifully while I hover in the extreme. Accepting some and denying some. I see my active senior sisters and marvel at the way they reinvented themselves and adapted beautifully to the changes in their lives. On the other hand, I still deny that my dogs are getting older even with their young and playful ways. I find myself crying hysterically when I chance upon one of the dogs prostrate somewhere only to realize they are either sunbathing or cooling themselves from the heat by sleeping on unexpected places like under the trees where they are bound to get worms from the soil!
Malunggay (Sajina or Moringa) planted by the birds in our rough garden patch and which I try to eat fresh.

I try to walk my talk but always catch myself on extreme ends every so often. When a five-year-old kid in one of my art workshops tinkered fast in her PC tablet (yes kids get to be techie early) to show me her collection of games, I have to challenge her enthusiasm by bringing her back to the basic, the whole brain skills, the one that uses her fingers to do things not just clicking on demand but actually creating something inspired by an idea in her mind (brain) and polished with her heart. So we took her dog for a walk and later made a paper crown from a discarded board!
This prolific orchid blooms even in bad weather!

The birds sing, my dog Sweepy's phone rings (yes he owns one!), MrWormsy clings, and I look at the sunny skies threatening to rain and I linger for a moment, taking it all in and offering a silent prayer of thanks for making all these things possible. . .
