Yes, our avocado tree Yvon
started flowering last month!
She was right on schedule.
Flowers in February to March.
Fruit buds from April to May.
And harvest from June to July!
If my memory is right
this will be the third year
that Yvon will bear fruits!
Yvon is younger than our chico tree, Chicky
but Yvon is taller and has more fruits!
At the foot of Yvon lies my dog Sweepy's late brother Bogart.
Beside Yvon is Chicky where Sumo (Sweepy's late father) lies in peace.
Yes, our dogs are buried deep in Heaven's earth
and their bodies feed and nourish the earth
that give rise to such elegant fruit trees!
. . . which happens to be my favorite!
Oh, I'm sure you also like avocados!
And that fleshy yummy avocado
started out as cute flowers like these!
. . . that reminds us of nature's enduring beauty
and its life sustaining cycle . . .
. . .and its healing and relaxing hymn. . .
that speaks of a silly woman who dances with her trees
amidst the shadows of her black departed dogs
that she meets at midnight when the moon is full . . .

What a very nice place for Sumo and Bogart to rest.. or their bodies.. cause they are up in the skies and Heaven, I believe.. So very deep and lovely the last you have written here, dancing in your garden at midnight.. And the avocado plant, so very beautiful, that I'm sure Sumo and Bogart are taking care of the plants.. :)
Oh yes, I love avocados! But they are expensive to buy..
Have a lovely weekend my friend! :)
I've heard that sun spots are causing lots of trouble on the net...how can that be?!
Thanks for these beautiful flowers. I can only see the fruits in the supermarket, where they are never fresh.

Your poem amid the photos is really lovely. Love that last stanza. Dancing with trees is a wonderful image.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, you could have made a movie! I am speechless, the way nature is reborn is beautiful! Thank you for visiting my roses and lilies :)
Honestly, I have not seen their flowers and they are beautiful.
In the Phils, I eat the avocado as a fruit, but here, we add it to our salads or sandwiches, as a vegetable.
Thanks for showing these flowers to us.
there was a huge avocado tree in my grandfather's yard when i was growing up but i didn't notice its blossoms.:p the flowers look like papaya's.
Wonderful sequence of shots.
Wow, three years in a row - you must indeed be a good gardener.
I loved your essay, especially the last few lines. Your words have an easy poetic feel to them.
Your posts are always so lovely. I have never seen the blooms of an avocado tree before, they are quite pretty.
