Scavenger Hunt Sunday

For this week's SHS I am inviting you to my small corner masquerading as my studio.
On the messy table is my study
for a children's art workshop
which I will conduct next week.
The workshop's theme is about 'masters/ masterpieces'
so I am doing works of Filipino master artists.
The sketch above is inspired by the work of Ang Kuikok
which I hope to make kids execute in less than two hours!
To be able to do that I have to design a simple line drawing
(yes, I made kids as young as 5 do this!)
which the kids will later interpret using their preferred colors!

Since I will facilitate a 'mixed media' workshop for kids, I intend to include objects like grains, stones, beads, buttons, etc. to create 3D textures and to make it more fun for kids to work on!

Yes, I stitched this one on the canvas!
But for the kids I will make them use glue instead.

I transport my mess using this plastic tray when I work ;-)
It is my studio on wheels!

And this is one of the best materials
to wrap and preserve works on storage.
What else but rolls and rolls of bubble wrap on standby!

Oh my wonderful artist friend, you are! =) How fun it must be for the chiuldren to have you among them!! =) You inspire me too! =) I love what I see in # 2!! Beautiful!

And you gave me an idea! The tray! Oh I should get one like that, because the only table in our livingroom is a real mess- ha ha!

and the bubbles- both Pusa and I love! I use to squeeze them so they pop!! and just that Pusa think is very interesting.. :))
But they are great for art work, I just read some while ago.. :)

Lovely night 2 u 2! :) ^^)

You've got your work cut out for you - the kids will have a blast in the workshop.

I use bubble wrap too - works great with paint, dye, etc.
