Flowers For My Jojo

I am featuring back this gorgeous flower from a gorgeous plant
that my sister Luchi planted at the back of our house Heaven.
Nope, I still don't know its name ;-(

The buds flare out like fireworks on a hot day!

And when the flowers finally unfurls . . .
. . . they fill my hands like a gorgeous bouquet!

Every petals demand attention
and they sing funny arias . . .
like some out of tune country music ;-)

And nope.
It does not have any scent ;-(
. . . but when it finally blooms
there is no stopping its wondrous cycle . . .
even its ending is magical:
because sooner than I can revisit it again
(when I finally take a time off from work)
there are new buds waiting to show off again
and I can enjoy the spectacle over and over!

February 23 is my brother Jojo's birthday.
He lives and works abroad now and visits us every year.
The last time he visited us (just last month)
he gave me all his toy cars, old CDs and casette tapes, etc.
I love playing the old 80s music and enjoyed all the cars.
It was in Jojo's converted red sports car that I learned to drive
and sadly made me realized that driving is not for me ;-(

Jojo was an ideal big brother.
He was tasked to accompany me to pre-school
on days when my Mama can't (I was such a cry baby)
and he would carry my school bag and milk tumbler
patiently waiting for me at the playground.
In my college years, he would drive me around and kept watch.
He never bullied, was always generous, and forever forgiving
of his youngest sister who is forever quirky and moody.
Oh, I love him so much!
I never get to say that often
and I know I should.

I love you big bro Ocs and I always have you in my prayers.
I hope you will forever be jolly and kind
and that you will always find a ME time in your busy sked.

You remind me of this flower in Heaven
forever blooming, forever happy . . .
always looking up to the heavens
and leaving his fate in God's hand.

For Denise and Todays Flowers too.

Jojo surely sounds like a very special person, Lui, and what a beautiful post about him. I just love your flowers too, especially the white and pink one. It is very unusual. I've never seen one quite like it.

I wish you a wonderful day. Sending you and "my" sweet big boy, lots of hugs.
xo.

What a beautiful flower! Amazing that something that pretty has no scent.
Glad you are back from your blogging holiday!

I'm sorry I don't know what it is, Lui. It might be related to the genus Ixora.
