Blog For Peace 2013

Peace in Heaven is not always quiet.
Somewhere, a senior super dog scratches himself.
He has been forgetful lately, always sleepy,
and howls whenever I leave.
Somewhere, a growing pup limbers along with his weak legs.
He is not eating well lately and
I kindda missed his running pace and I worry.
Somewhere, two senior ladies watch me in concern.
I dance to humor them but then
I completely forgot what I was supposed to do!
Somewhere, a lizard eyes me as I walk
just as a frog croaks his welcome
and a cat meows from the roof
and the two singing trees dance wildly
as the fragrant flowers hum a tune
all welcoming the sick Keeper.

Nothing will disrupt this topsy turvy madness.
Not cancer, not ageing, not death, not calamities.
Because in my place called Heaven
peace throbs in themes of empathy and acceptance.
Of loving and living within and without.
Of holding it in and holding out.
Of forever connecting . . .
. . . and listening
and hugging
and making time
and not losing hope.

Peace is not always quiet
but then
who says loving is?

This is my 3rd peace blog.
I missed last year's global blog.
Funny how the death of a dog could make me sick, missed a lot of international blog events, missed a lot of blogs, missed a lot of friends, missed myself. . .  So this year I am playing catch up and doing this early before I forget . . . and dedicate this again for Mimi Lenox (the original Peace Blogger)
. . . and for my Sumo who I will forever miss . . .

What a beautiful post this is, Lui.
No, indeed peace is not always quiet or calm, but it can always be in our hearts, right where it belongs.

Have a wonderful week ahead, dear friend. xo.

I am a peace blogger too. I do it since 2006, except last year, like you. But instead of peace we get more and more wars and that's very sad.

Hi Lui

I'm sorry about Sumo. Losing a pet hurts just as much as losing a human. We love them and they are part of our family. Love knows no boundaries.

Peace wishes to you.

PS I came back to read a bit more and saw about your RAI. I hope you are much better now.

My husband and mother have thyroid problems, so I recognised your drug names.

Living is certainly never boring!

I love your story about the woman and her dog. And I hope that by blogblast 2014 you are 100% healthy. In other words.. more prayers added ;-)

Peace bloggers are such caring and wonderful people. I hear it in the voices of these comments..the concern, the prayers, the sympathy, the love, the friendship.

We all send prayers and hopefulness your way. I am sorry for your loss but know that you will get through this at your own speed and in your own way.

We are blessed that you are blogging with us again and honored.
Take care and please keep in touch.
This is a beautiful peace post and globe.

Peace to you and yours,
Mimi
