Today's Flowers!

A flower vendor passed by Heaven this week and presented this whole bunch of daisies at our gate. My dogs all barked like crazy. I stood there mesmerized. The flowers were so beautiful. I wanted to tell the vendor that I am not interested to buy. I mean I love flowers but it is my sister Luchie who decides on the plants around Heaven. After all, Luchie is the one who takes care of gardening around Heaven. My job is only to water the plants, remove my dog's poo and water down their pee marks, and oogle at the plants and listen to their amazing sounds . . . . BUT

Yeah, BUT . . .

Oh, how that single word can change every major decisions we make in our lives. I watched the vendor smiling behind the sweat and tiredness of trying to sell the flowers in her garden. It was a hot day and the Daisies were calling out to me . . .

The red and orange variety were simply gorgeous! Oh, why can't we have daisies in Heaven? My dogs barked at me as if reading my mind. I thought maybe they wanted me to buy the flowers. My skeptic mind tells me the dogs probably thought the flowers are edible. I told them they can't eat it so . . . "will you guys stop that freaking noise!!!"

That sort of stopped the dogs. I mean if dogs bark, well, this keeper can bark the loudest. They stood watching me in silence. I looked back at the flowers. Oh, how can I resist the beautiful white one?!!

Okay, how much?

The vendor said she will give to me for only P50 ($1!) . . . I don't know how much these flowers cost but hey a dollar sounds cheap to me. I told the vendor I do not know how to plant but the vendor volunteered to help me plant! Okay, done! Give me two! . . . I mean I owe it to at least buy two if the vendor is willing to plant them for me . . .

Wow! That was truly beautiful! My own Daisies at last! When Luchie got home she told me about seeing the woman vendor outside our subdivision on her way to work and she wanted to inquire about the flowers but she was in a hurry. Imagine seeing them in our house when she got home from work. Luchie was also pleased to hear I got them at a big discount. But guess who is more pleased?

That is Sweepy, our SuperDog. He likes the attention. He waited beside the flowers all day because I told him to watch it until Luchie comes home. I told him it is a surprise for Luchie. So when Luchie came home and gushed at the flower, Sweepy got a hug as well . . .

Pssst, the real flower lover is actually Sweepy's brother Bogart. It is Bogart who alerts me whenever there are flowers blooming in Heaven. And it is for him that I dedicate this flower which I also offer to the people behind the FlowersToday meme celebrating their anniversary, for being such great flower keepers, and for allowing my dog Bogart to bark his flowers every week! Thank you Santilli, Denise, Pupo and Valkyrien! Go check this great team and their gorgeous blog at FlowersToday!
