Orchids in Heaven!

The sleeping beauty has awakened again! This is our orchid plant blooming for the second time after sleeping for years! What a sight on a rainy-sunny day! I dedicate this timeless beauty to my late Lola Fina (grandmother) whose birthday I am celebrating this week! Here is the orchid's blooming phase for a week!

. . . your gentle smile
your fragile hands holding mine

our prayer time at noon

our siesta hour until dusk
my innocent eyes
locked in those tender eyes
a child and her lola
holding on in silent whispers

and it never stopped . . .
- whispers from my daydreams

This is my second entry to MacroFlowers Saturday. Do share your macro flowers and macro stories too. Sweet weekend to all!

My mother used to grow them...abundantly on our yard. She can even sell some. She was a great vanda orchids lover. Yours are so sweet looking.
